A card of one of Monica's paintings with a slip in side which states that you have been given a term/ or a day course - the venue and the dates and the Donor. Art to Inspire is held in Brompton Regis near Dulverton, Exmoor, Somerset , the evening class in Withycombe near Minehead, Somerset and Landscape Classes are held outdoors in various venues on Exmoor. Brompton Regis Village Hall, near Dulverton. Central to Taunton, Tiverton and Minehead, the Hall has good light, is spacious and plenty of parking. It is a few doors away from the Village pub Withycombe Memorial Hall is 10 minute drive from Minehead, and has been chosen as it has daylight strips, is well lit, spacious and warm. You can park outside in the road or in the farmyard further up the hill on the right. Art to Inspire Brompton Regis, Exmoor, Somerset Beginners and visitors welcomed 10.00a.m. -1.00p.m. every Wednesday. Term finishes on 14th December with a meal at Pullens Mill. Spring term starting 11th January - 21st March Half term 15th February Cost: £125 for 10classes or £13.50 per class [This includes the cost of coffee/tea/herbal teas and biscuits], The sessions will vary, sometimes working from still life or flowers which I will bring, and sometimes experimenting with imaginative or design work, or looking at the work and ideas of a particular artist and working in his style. Occasionally there will be the opportunity to try a new medium such as acrylics, pastels or a new paper or inks! It will be possible for beginners to have structured help with learning to draw or to learn to paint , or for students to work on their own projects with my help. PORTRAITS There is always a portrait model available [Maximum 6 students to the model] to be sure of your place you need to book with me in advance. The model costs £20 and the price is divided between the students who are working from the model on the day. This is in addition to the cost of the class. Monday Evening class Withycombe Memorial Hall, Near Minehead, Somerset Beginners and visitors welcomed 7.00 - 9.30 Term ends on 12th December with a gathering after the class at Monica's. Spring term 9th January - 19th March Half term 13th February Cost: £110.50 for the 10 week term or £11.50 per class which includes coffee/tea and biscuits This is a general class which covers drawing, different media and techniques, imaginative composition, still life, flowers. Topics are chosen by consultation with the class. It will be possible for beginners to have structured help with learning to draw or to learn to paint , or for students to work on their own projects with my help.
