Learn to paint with MonicaI now only teach privately, mostly day workshops in Brompton Village Hall near Dulverton. Life and Portrait days, How to paint in Oils and mornings of "Art to inspire". A new venture in July, "drawing and painting horses from life". See below for details This July/August I will be running a few days landscape painting at Binham Grange, a Jacobean house set in 300 acres of parkland and gardens near the village of Old Cleeve. www.binhamgrange.co.uk Portrait Drawing and Painting Days 2010 5th May 7th July 6th Oct 1st Dec Life Drawing and Painting Days 2010 31st March 9th June 1st Sept 3rd Nov Day Workshops usually held on the first Wednesday in the month in Brompton Regis Village Hall. 10.00a.m. - 4.00p.m. Beginners welcomed Cost:£30 which includes the cost of the life model or two portrait models and coffee, tea, herbal teas and biscuits. Cancellation 7 days before the class incurs a fee of £12 unless you find someone to take your place Art to Inspire [General drawing and painting class] 10.00a.m. -1.00p.m. Usually 3rd Wednesday in the month Spring Term SummerTerm 20/01 24/02 21/03 28/04 19/05 16/06 Different topic each month Still life/flowers supplied and some materials when trying new media. Also coffee, tea, herbal teas and biscuits. Topic for 21/03: Either painting flowers loosely in watercolours - wetting the paper first and dropping in the paint or carrying on from last month and turning our images into abstracts. Cost: £45 per term but you can sell your place to a friend if you can't make it on the day. So usually a few spaces going. Visitors welcomed
How to Paint in Oils Brompton Village Hall Date: Thursday 15th April (to be confirmed) Cost:£30 Oil painting techniques explained. Information on paints, brushes, media etc. Either use your own materials or all materials can be supplied at an extra cost of £5 Also coffee, tea, herbal teas and biscuits supplied. Drawing and Painting Horses from Life 17th July Wooton Courtnay,[near Minehead] in a field or a barn Cost:£30 10.00 - 4.00 2 horse models will be held or led for us to work from. One in the morning and the other after lunch.
